KNX Automation

KNX Home Automation in Chandigarh

KNX is the world's only open standard (ISO/IEC 14543) for home and building automation. Unlike proprietary systems, KNX uses a dedicated twisted-pair bus that connects every device — lighting, HVAC, shading, security, AV — into a single, unified system.

What We Deliver

KNX is the world's only open standard (ISO/IEC 14543) for home and building automation. Unlike proprietary systems, KNX uses a dedicated twisted-pair bus that connects every device — lighting, HVAC, shading, security, AV — into a single, unified system. Evoto Technologies is a KNX certified integrator in India. We design, programme, and commission KNX systems for luxury residences, villas, bungalows, hotels, and commercial buildings across Chandigarh, Punjab, and pan-India. Every installation is backed by ETS software programming and thorough commissioning.

How a KNX system is put together

Every KNX device sits on a green two-core bus cable that runs alongside the normal power wiring. Actuators in the distribution board switch and dim the circuits; keypads, sensors and touch panels in the rooms send commands over the bus. Because each device has its own logic, the system keeps working even if one component fails, and there is no central box that can take the whole house down.

The installation is programmed in ETS, the official KNX engineering software. That is where scenes, timers, presence logic and the links between lighting, curtains and air conditioning are set. A well-documented ETS project is what lets any certified KNX integrator maintain or extend the system years later.

When KNX is the right choice

KNX makes most sense in a new kothi, villa or a home going through a major renovation, when the bus cable can be laid before plastering. It suits large homes with many circuits, families who want switches that always work without an app, and owners who expect to live in the house for decades.

For a finished apartment where walls cannot be opened, a wireless system is usually the better value. Many of our projects combine the two: KNX for the core lighting, curtains and AC, with wireless devices added where cabling is impractical.

Planning a KNX project with us

We prefer to be involved before electrical work starts. From your architectural drawings we prepare a control schedule (which light, curtain and AC goes on which channel), the bus and panel layout, and keypad positions, so your electrician can lay conduit and cable correctly.

After installation we programme and commission the system, walk your family through it at handover, and keep the ETS project on file so changes can be made later, including remotely.

Pricing

A wired KNX system for a kothi or villa typically costs ₹7–20 lakh+, depending on the number of circuits, curtains, AC units and the keypad range you choose. We give a written quote after the site visit.

After Handover

Support that continues

  • Warranty claims handled for you. All equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty. If a device fails, our team deals with the brand — you don't have to.
  • Same-day remote support. Most KNX and app issues are diagnosed and fixed remotely, usually the same day you call.
  • On site in 24–48 hours. When a visit is needed, our technicians reach you within 24–48 hours across Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula.
  • Annual maintenance contract. After the warranty, keep your system tuned with an AMC at around 5% of the equipment value.
